Adela is a social work professional who loves contributing to the thinking of clients who want to enhance or expand effective, evidence-based programs, grow their boards and plan strategically for their organization’s next phase of development. Her recent work includes coordinating the development of Shared Prosperity, the City’s guiding anti-poverty strategy, as well as Read by 4th, the citywide response to a national planning effort to assure that all children are reading at grade level by 4th grade.
Adela has a background in child welfare, family homelessness and health care, experience she gained while administering and evaluating programs for The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Episcopal Community Services and several emergency shelters in the city. She came to Fairmount from the University of Pennsylvania Libraries, where she managed communications, assessment and board relations.
