Margaret Walker uses her aptitude for building meaningful relationships to inspire supporters to become advocates for client missions. At Fairmount, Margaret focuses on developing personalized fundraising strategies for clients and providing the tools, structure, and support they need to be successful.

Margaret brings years of experience fundraising for nonprofits, making connections and securing support from individual donors and corporate stakeholders, and recruiting and preparing executive volunteers to champion nonprofit missions and serve as solicitors. She enjoys creating efficiencies and practical solutions, and excels at providing both ad hoc advice and layered, long-term strategies. Her client portfolio includes capital campaigns, grant writing, and resource development. Margaret brings particular skill in preparing compelling communications written in clients’ own styles and voices.

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Margaret previously worked as Senior Director of Go Red For Women for the American Heart Association, managing all aspects of the fundraising campaign to meet funding goals to advance national operations and local programmatic initiatives. She started her career supporting two iconic Philadelphia non-profits, the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House and Please Touch Museum.
